Ok, putting my hand up, I need a buddy NOW!
Taking action to BUDDY UP! Is a sign of strength and commitment. You’re taking action to safeguard your physical, emotional, mental health and wellbeing, not just for yourself but for your buddy too.

STEP 1: Approach my SAFE PERSON and ‘make a request’ for them to be my BUDDY and CHECK IN with me.
STEP 2: Meet up, call or text my WORK CHECK BUDDY to have a conversation and agree on our SOCIAL CONTRACT.
AGREE check-in time frame - the system works best if you choose an hour slot for contact
AGREE my ‘safety crisis’ word or emoji - for example if my safety word is bananas, I could use the word in a sentence like this “this problem is making me bananas today” or I could send an emoji of bananas
STEP 3: CHECK - IN with the TRAFFIC LIGHT SYSTEM.
